One frequent frustration for many technologists, myself included, is when we successfully build a solution that we think does a superior job of solving an important and outstanding problem, only to see that solution fail because no one will use it. The problem is that as technologists we tend to see the world through the eyes of our solutions, rather than the eyes of the people who will be using those solutions. Doing that correctly requires a different perspective, but more importantly it requires different training; this is why Finserv Experts, despite being a relatively small consultancy, engages a behavioural economist, Yolanda Berry, as a full time member of our leadership team.
Recently, our client Sea Green invited Yolanda to comment on what makes an app sticky, and how the Sea Green solution in particular is engineered to make it easy to use by the people who need it the most.
