LFW’s hottest model? A humanoid artist in a shapeshifting, biological dress

Yesterday, our sustainability leader Yolanda Berry and myself had the privilege to visit with AUROBOROS at the Victoria and Albert Museum and see their amazing Biomimicry exhibit.

Judged purely from an artistic standpoint, Biomimicru so nothing less than a breakthrough, an abolsutely stunning vision; I have never seen it’s like before. But it is so much more than that. Co-founders Alissa Aulbekova and Paula Sello, in collaboration with Aidan Meller have managed to push past the boundaries of what’s possible in so many directions at the same time that it will take weeks if not years to consider the possibilities. From digital fashion to sustainability. From robotics to crystallography. From branding to blockchain. From traditional interpretations of ownership to new interpretations of sentience.

For anyone who has the chance, I cannot encourage you enough to see their exhibit in action this week. I have no doubt that the Auroboros team will go on to many more amazing creations that stretch our boundaries even further #, but once Biomimicry is gone, it will be gone forever.
